Mehrune, born into a royal family, was almost forced into an arranged marriage by her manipulative parents. After centuries of loneliness, she fell in love with the vampire Riftan, but their forbidden romance led to her banishment. Reunited centuries later, their happiness was short-lived as Riftan was executed before her eyes. Desperate and heartbroken, Mehrune tore out her own wings in a final attempt at suicide, but even death evaded her. Now, after centuries of suffering, she wanders the world, searching for a way to find a cure to her immortality and reunite with Riftan in death.
